For strength training
Your one-rep max (1RM) is the heaviest weight you can lift once with good form. Testing it directly is risky, so it is usually estimated from a set of 3–10 reps with formulas such as Epley or Brzycki, and training percentages are planned from there. In powerlifting, Wilks, DOTS and IPF GL points compare lifters of different body weights.
Body composition and nutrition
The scale does not separate fat from muscle. The US Navy method estimates body fat from circumference measurements and Jackson-Pollock from skinfolds; FFMI rates your lean mass relative to height. A common protein recommendation for strength athletes is 1.6–2.2 g per kg of body weight per day. These tools are for information and are not medical advice.
