Snooker Scoreboard

Score snooker, 3-cushion carom or a pool race with one tap per shot — the scoreboard tracks breaks, points remaining, averages and who breaks next.

–Break
–Remaining on table
–Reds left
–Difference

This tool runs entirely in your browser; your data is never sent to a server.

How to use

  1. 1Pick the game and enter both names; set the target points for 3-cushion, or the race length and break rule for pool.
  2. 2In snooker, tap the ball potted: only legal balls are enabled. Foul buttons add 4–7 points to the opponent and pass the turn.
  3. 3Tap a player’s card or End of visit to switch players, and New frame to bank the frame.
  4. 4Use Undo for mistakes; the match is saved in your browser and survives a reload.

What the snooker scoreboard tracks

Alongside both scores you see the current break, reds left, points remaining on the table and the difference. Points remaining is reds × 8 + 27 while reds are on, then the sum of the colours still to clear. When the deficit is bigger than what is left, the board tells the trailing player how many snookers they need, assuming 4-point fouls. After a red only a colour can be potted, and once the reds are gone the colours unlock in order: yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black. New frame awards the frame to the leader and keeps each player’s highest break. Free balls are not handled.

3-cushion carom: average and equalizing inning

Each successful carom scores a point and a miss ends the inning. The average is points divided by innings, shown to three decimals as in tournament results, next to each player’s high run. If the player who started reaches the target first, the opponent gets an equalizing inning; if they reach the target too, the match is drawn. The default target is 40 points and you can change it.

Pool race-to scoring

For 8-ball and 9-ball, set the race length and tap +1 rack for whoever wins each rack. The board names the winner once someone reaches the race and shows who breaks next, with either alternate breaks or winner breaks — the two rules you will meet in US leagues and UK pub pool.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum break in snooker?

147 without fouls: all 15 reds each followed by the black, then all six colours.

How many points is a foul in snooker?

At least 4, or the value of the ball involved if higher — 5 for blue, 6 for pink, 7 for black. The points go to the opponent.

What does “snookers required” mean?

The trailing player cannot catch up even by potting everything left, so they need the opponent to give away foul points.

How is a 3-cushion average calculated?

Points divided by innings. Scoring 40 in 50 innings is an average of 0.800.
