How to use
- 1Pick the game.
- 2Enter your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity.
- 3eDPI, cm/360 and inches/360 update instantly, with a sensitivity class.
- 4Use the table to keep the same speed at a different DPI.
What is eDPI?
eDPI (effective DPI) is mouse DPI multiplied by in-game sensitivity: 800 DPI × 0.35 = 280 eDPI. It is the easiest way to compare true aim speed between players of the same game; 400 DPI × 0.7 and 800 DPI × 0.35 share the same eDPI and feel identical. Games scale sensitivity differently, though, so eDPI cannot be compared across games.
cm/360 to compare across games
cm/360 is how far you move the mouse for a full turn, and it is game-independent. Formula: 360 ÷ (DPI × sensitivity × yaw) inches, where yaw is the degrees a game turns per mouse count (CS2 and Apex 0.022, Valorant 0.07, Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty 0.0066). The yaw values are the widely accepted community-measured figures as of 2026.
Where do pros play?
Tactical shooters (CS2, Valorant) favour low sensitivity, and most players sit roughly between 30 and 60 cm/360. Faster games (Overwatch 2, Apex, Fortnite) often use shorter distances. These are general trends; the right sensitivity depends on your desk space, whether you aim with your arm or wrist, and comfort.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate eDPI?
Multiply mouse DPI by in-game sensitivity. 800 DPI at 0.4 Valorant sensitivity is 320 eDPI.
What is a good eDPI for Valorant?
There is no single right answer; roughly 200–400 eDPI (0.25–0.5 at 800 DPI) is a common range among Valorant players. Find the value that keeps your aim most consistent.
How do I adjust sensitivity after changing DPI?
Keep eDPI the same: new sensitivity = old DPI × old sensitivity ÷ new DPI. The table in the tool does this for 400 to 3200 DPI.
